a little about a lot

My name is Gabriel Aharoni, and I'm a husband, friend, veteran, counselor, and life-long learner. I'm passionate about sharing, telling, and listening to stories. It is my hope that site offers some insight into the whacky world inside my head, and the head of others.

 

I am passionate about psychology, philosophy and learning about how and why people do the things that they do. Hopefully this blog and my art will open your mind to the possibilities of the human mind, and will allow you to learn a little bit more about mental illness and mental health.

 

Additionally, I hope to share some of my favorite philosophers, their opinions, and interpretations of important philosophical arguments and debates with a more creative and artistic approach than has historically been used in the practice of philosophy.

My goal for this website is to help you think in ways that are foreign and uncomfortable, and to ask questions that make you think. To quote the Cogito, by Rene Descartes: 

 

“I think therefore I am”

I hope that you allow this blog to open your mind and invite new ways to think and maybe find parts of yourself and others that you never knew existed. I hope this shared knowledge of human identity crosses boundaries and creates empathetic bonds that you hadn’t realized you were capable of. ​
